She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Kalous and Amalia Kalous (Kopsa); her husband James Christian Nelsen; and her brother Carl Kalous. She is survived by: her children, Mary Genice Easton (Cletus Althoff) of Waukon, Mike Nelsen of Lohrville, Chris Nelsen (Deb), Patty Lundquist (Brad) of Johnston and Carl Nelsen (Lori) of Lohrville; and her sister Elizabeth Thomasson of Massachusetts. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
