He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hedman and Fern Hedman (Johnson); his brothers, Roger Hedman and Allen Hedman; his mother-in-law Vivian Stephenson; and his brother-in-law Vernon "Butch" Stephenson.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Hedman (Donna) of Lohrville, Chris Hedman of Des Moines, Jeri Bales (Roy) of Early and John Hedman (Lisa) of Ankeny; his sisters, Vonnie McCarty (Bob) of South St, Mary Lou Reese (Vic) of Gardendale, TX and Betty Wilson of Poynette, WI.; and his wife Linda Stephenson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
