He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Mether (Bud) and Wilda Joy Mether (Oviatt); his wife Jane Herman; his brother Walter Leroy Mether (Leota); his brother-in-law Jack Straight; and his grandson Kyler Dobbs.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Mether (Sarah) of Logan, Richard Mether (Tammi) of Moorhead, Deborah Mether of Logan, Denise (Kyle Dobbs) of Logan, Dustin Mether (Christina) of Magnolia, Derrick Mether (Corrie) of Logan and Deanna Danielson of Logan; and his sisters, Sondra Straight of Logan and Lorita (Jim Rider) of Magnolia. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
