He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Behounek and Julia Behounek (Zeman); his wife Agnes Taylor; his son Christopher; his grandson Andrew Golwitzer; and his siblings, Paul, Jerome, Virgil, Donald Behounek and Jeanne Uhlenhake.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Christianson (Ronald) of Bode, Michael Behounek (Rhonda) of Livermore, Jeannine Zuck (Russell) of Dunkerton and Anne Golwitzer (Robert) of Winterset; and his sister-in-law Catherine Behounek. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
