He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucas Vust and Jennie Vust (Reemtsma); his wife Margaret Vust; his siblings, Jake, Fred Vust, Fern Popkes (Lyle), Ruth Backer (Ervin), June Vust and Mary Klaassen; and his in-laws, Herman Heibult (Frances), Florence Brink (Elmer), Jean Heibult and Franklin Heibult.
He is survived by: his children, Lyle Vust (Kari) of Sheldon and Marilyn Ahrendt of Lester, Iowa; his grandchildren, Kellie Crowl (Jacob) of Bentonville, Nicholas Vust of Sheldon, Alexander Vust (Ashley) of St. Charles, Samuel Vust of Sheldon, Alicia Ahrendt of Inwood, Kaitlynn Van Beek (Jesse) of Inwood, Cody Ahrendt (Ashley) of Inwood and Landon Pottebaum of Lester, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Harlo, Dylan, Prim Crowl, Paizley Vust, Zaylie Norris, Chanley, Kennedy, Hartley, Rory Ahrendt, Raelynn and Cora Van Beek; his brother Louis Vust (Joann) of Little Rock, Iowa; and his sister-in-law Margaret Heibult of Sheldon, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
