He is survived by: his children, Gary Arends (Julia) of Sibley, IA, Arlan Arends (Rosalie) of Little Rock, IA, Steven Arends (Ronda) of Little Rock, IA, Lori Pick of Luverne, MN and Lisa Arends of Little Rock, IA; and his siblings, Sweer Arends of Ellsworth, MN, Heikelena Harms of Sheldon, IA and Mary Kramer of George, IA. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
