She was predeceased by: her parents, Mac Hughes and Ruby Hughes (Lighter); her husband Milon "Bud" Thatcher; her grandson Tom Thatcher; and her siblings, Lillian Pabst (Irene Long), Dora Osbourne (Margaret Zorn), Betty Lynch (Laurence) and Jack (Donald).
She is survived by: her son Jerry Thatcher (Karen) of Marshalltown; her grandson Jeff Thatcher (Pam) of Union, IA; her granddaughter-in-law Lynne Thatcher; and her sister-in-law Pat McAllister of Marshalltown. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
