He is survived by: his spouse Lu Ellen Stoaks; his children, Mary Dickinson (David) of Logan, Becky Peterson (Roger) of Marshalltown, Tina Loyd (Peter), Lisa Lynk (Bruce) of Marshalltown, Holly Raibikis (Hank) of Des Moines, Tom Schmitt (Mary) of Liscomb, David Schmitt of Marshalltown and Mark Schmitt (Nelia) of O'Fallon; his sister Margie Ley (John) of Ankeny; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Schmitt of St. Louis.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Iowa River Hospice Home.
