We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Rita Smith of Lisbon, Iowa, born in Remsen, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ortmann and Eleanor Ortmann (Bohnenkamp); her husband Donald Smith; her son John; and her siblings, Mary Jane Delperdang, Roman "Stoop" Ortmann, Dick Ortmann and Bob Ortmann.

She is survived by: her children, Tom (Michelle), Dave, Nancy Williams (Randy), Jeff (Wendi) and Joe (Kim); her daughter-in-law Karla; her grandchildren, Justin (Brandi), Lynnsey (Wayne), Josh (Amy), Eric (Brittany), Ashley, Chelsea Kay (Cody), Austin (Jamie), Colton, Dylan (Tonya), Kaitlyn (Joe), Lauryn and Peyton; her siblings, Betty O'Toole, Paul Ortmann, Jerry Ortmann and John "Jack" Ortmann; and also, Jessie, Nate, Brant, Natalie and Heidi Von Behrens. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Everyone attending is required to wear a facemask and maintain social distancing.
