He is survived by: his children, Jason Kohout, Ben Kohout (Alicia), Angie Kohout (Kelly Wieser) and Brett Kohout (Carley); his grandchildren, Elijah, Andrew, Gracelyn, Walker and Corbin; his siblings, Terry Kohout and Jean Novak (Steve); and his wife Elizabeth Noonan (Betty).
