It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Marks of Lisbon, Iowa, born in Oxford, Iowa, who passed away on July 1, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Kapfer and Clara Kapfer; her daughters, Marcia Anderson and Daryl Plummer; her granddaughter Kathryn Vowell; and her sons-in-law, Troy Freeman and Mike Murphy.
She is survived by: her husband Roger Marks; her children, Judy Ploessl (Jay) of Coral Springs, FL, Trudy Murphy of Atlanta, GA., Barbara Freeman of Garland, TX, Jeffrey Marks (Jean) of Colorado Springs, CO, Tam Marks of Carrol, Kim Myhre (Mike) of Cedar Rapids, Tim Marks of Denver, CO and Tom Marks (Dixie Bixler) of Mt. Vernon; and her brother Thomas Kapfer (Teresita) of Pleasant Prairie, WI. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
