He was predeceased by: his parents, Sailor Phelps and Gladys Phelps (Bushnell); his wife Helen Fortner Willett; his children, Joyce Jellison of James and Jack Willett; and his sister Marjorie Kinkead.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Starr of Manchester, Linda Berry (Doug) of Cedar Rapids and Sherry Shepard (Doug) of Cedar Rapids; and his sisters, Nancy Ortman (Jerry) of Lisbon and Carolyn Phelps of Lisbon. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
