She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Long Hurt and John Edward Hurt; her siblings, Howard, Charley Hurt, Dowell Hurt, Ted, Dorothy Hurt, Roberta Lacey and Alma Nickels; and her grandson Ben (Eldon Scott).
She is survived by: her children, Steve Rushford (Jan), Terry Rushford (Pam), Arnie Rushford (Lori), Dan Rushford (MaryJane), Sheree Garside and Dawn Chapman; and her stepchildren, Joe Scott (Tammy), Laura Jones and Angie Weldy (Matt). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Instead of sending flowers, Evelyn wanted others to honor and celebrate her life, by donating to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in her memory.
