It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Ann Merta of Lisbon, Iowa, who passed away on August 14, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Zach and Marie Zach (Detert); her husband Marvin Merta; her son Terry Merta; her son-in-law Bob Gross; and her siblings, Robert Zach (Geraldine), Roman Zach (Elaine) and Elaine Sedlacek (Butch).

She is survived by: her children, Darrell Merta (Norma) of Mt. Vernon, Cindy Helmick (Jeff) of Stone City and Mary Jo Washburn (Noel) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Josh Merta (Karen), Travis Merta (Amanda), Doria Cook (Richard), Jeremy Nost (Nikki), Dustin Gross (Keegan), A. J. Gross (Jessica), Thad Washburn (Whitney) and Austin Washburn (Catherine); and her sister-in-law Peg Zach of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandson.
