He is survived by: his wife Verla Berniece Gibson; his sons, Keith McCarty of Chariton, IA and Darrell Duane McCarty; his grandchildren, Michele Deardorff (James) of Adel, IA and Aaron McCarty (Emily); his great grandchildren, Claire, Finn, Reagan McCarty, Brilee, Kailee, Cayden, Dayah, Nighten Deardorff and Dalton Thompson; and his brothers, Rex and John McCarty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
