She was predeceased by: her parents, Tiberius Ulysses (T. U.) and Elta Schaefer Reed; her husband Darrell; her siblings, Eva York (Verle), Cecil Reed (Helen), Walter Reed and Harlan Reed; and her sister-in-law Dolores Horn (Roger).

She is survived by: her sons, Jim Peters (Pam) of Adel and Jon Peters (Kim) of Panora; her grandson Grant Peters (Nicki); her great grandchildren, Corbin and Crew; her granddaughter Kristie Schaul (Justin); her great grandchildren, Finley and Reese; her granddaughter Kelsey Hughes (Scott); her great grandchildren, Ellie, Kilee and Ray; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Kelly Reed of Vermillion, SD. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
