He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rusk and Leona Rusk (Baker); his wife Donna Hendricks; his siblings, Joyce Snore, Mitchell Rusk and Christine Ogden; and his niece Lisa McLain.

He is survived by: his children, Edward Rusk (Bea Snow) and Terri Camelin; his grandchildren, Rayven Rusk (Justin Watkinson), Darean Rusk, Justine Woodsmall (Cody), Rachel Davis (Aaron) and Megan Anderson (Kaitlyn McAtee); his great grandchildren, Harley and Maddox Watkinson; his grandchildren, Alisha, Jayden, Serenity, Skyler, Anarra Woodsmall, Donna Davis and Nova Anderson; and his sisters, Marian Laughlin and Charlotte McLain (Joe).
