He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Pencil and Velma Pencil (Wood); and his siblings, Lucille and Larry. He is survived by: his wife Mary of Libertyville; his children, Linda Pencil and Robert Pencil (Kim); his grandchildren, Katie, Makayla, Mason and Austin; and his great grandchildren, Vaeda, Kaetom and Maddix. He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
