We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2023, at the age of 72, Elmer Schafer of Libertyville, Iowa, born in Washington, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Lee and Elizabeth Schafer (Reschly); his son Tommy Schafer; his sister Marylee Schafer; and his pet Buckwheat.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Louise Poe of Libertyville; his children, Charlene Griffith of Virginia Beach, VA, Eric Palmer (Sara) of Cedar Rapids, Ashton (Shea) of Fairfield and Cory Palmer (Melissa) of Fairfield; and his siblings, Artie Schafer (Cathy), Leo Schafer (Nancy), Lee Schafer (Georgia) and Linda Moore (Dwayne). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
