He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Ruse and Hazel Ruse (Hix); his daughter-in-law Andria Ruse; and his grandson Travis Ruse. He is survived by: his wife Karen Reid; his sons, Leroy Ruse (Janelle) of Muscatine and Steven Ruse (Mary) of Oak Hill, Florida; his granddaughters, Kristy Ruse, Samantha Devenport and JoAnna Voorhees; and his great grandchild Samuel.

A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Stanley.
