He was predeceased by: his daughter Norma Lee; his stepmother Esther Thomas; and his siblings, Donald Thomas, Charles Thomas, Genieve Connor, Jack Thomas and Larry Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret of Letts; his children, Anita Stineman (Mike), Bruce Thomas (Sue) of Algona, Melvin Thomas (Rita) of Warsaw and Jeff Thomas of Letts; his siblings, Evelyn Welker of Muscatine, Verla Canfield (Bill) of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Alice McClasky of Quincy, IL and David Thomas (Marge) of New London, IA; and his sister-in-law Rosa Thomas of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Letts United Methodist Church, Hospice Compassus of Davenport and Grandview/Letts Lions in memory of Marvin.
