He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis H. Briggs and Myrle C. Reid Briggs; and his siblings, Orville, Bub, John Briggs, Phyllis Lindle, Betty Jean Briggs and Patricia Glenn.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Briggs of Letts; his daughters, Pam Briggs, Rick Collier of Columbus Junction, Lora Fiss (Doug) of Fox Lake and Janita Hafner (Bart) of Letts; his grandchildren, Matt Fiss, Sara Dimmick, Aaron Fiss (Kelsey), Dilan Collier, Nicki Stout, Justin Collier, Brady Hafner and Logan Hafner; and his siblings, Robert Briggs of Mt. Pleasant, Lois Larson of La Habra and Mary Gillette of Wapello. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
