We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2023, at the age of 81, Evelyn Rose Axtell of Letts, Iowa, born in Muscatine, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wallace and Mary Estabrook (Dusenberry); her husband Leo L. Axtell, Sr.; her son Jerry Axtell; her siblings, Albert, William, Ed, Lewis Estabrook, Edith Smalley, Helen Herlein, Deloris Phillips and Pearl Phillips; and her son-in-law Brian Oxley.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Fitzgerald of Portland, Connie Oxley of Wapello, Leo "Deano" Axtell, Jr. (Robin) of Grandview, Janet Fuller of Wapello, Brenda Axtell of Wapello, Scott Axtell (Susan) of Fortuna and Wanita Brewer (Paul) of Letts; and her sister Mary Reed of Muscatine. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Evelyn's name.
