It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene James Goddard Sr. of Letts, Iowa, born in Muscatine, Iowa, who passed away on March 4, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Ivan and Elda Myrtle Goddard (Haldeman); and his brothers, Ivan Glen Goddard (Esther) and Wayne Goddard (Bonnie). He is survived by: his former wife Wanda Evans; his children, Gene Goddard (Debbie) of Cranston and Suzy Hills (David) of Columbus Junction; his grandchildren, Jonathan Hills (Megan) of Mt. Pleasant, Bowen Spitznogle (Samantha) of Letts, Lacy Goddard of Atalissa, Mindy Garner of Nichols, Tiffany Hill (Jared) of New London, Gavin Goddard, Oliver Garner and Matthew Hill; and his siblings, Elda May Snyder of Selma, JoAnn Plett (Paul) of Muscatine, Shirley Hinkhouse (Gene) of Atalissa, Mary Ellen Simon West (Joe), Louise Wilson (Bob) of Muscatine and Rhea Brookhart (Paul) of Centerville.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Gene's name.
