It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolores Lucille Sorensen of Lester, Iowa, who passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Mercer and Bessie Mercer (Muck); her husband Marion Lee Sorensen; her grandchildren, Jonathon David Sheldahl and Cassie Hays; her son-in-law Michael Hays; her sisters, Mary Barton and Jean Irwin; her brother-in-law Gerald Waltz; her niece Jill Reichenauer; her nephew Todd Brower; and her grandson-in-law Stephen Perry.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin (Karla Sorensen) of Corning, Kathy (David Sheldahl) of Arlington, Nebraska and Karen Hays of Tempe, Arizona; her granddaughter Christina Perry of Phoenix, Arizona; her children, Trent (Ashlee Sorensen) of Waukee, Iowa, Tori Sorensen of Kansas City, Missouri, Trevor (Hattie Sorensen) of Adel, Iowa, Laura (Josh Gloeb) of Kennard, Nebraska and Katie (Drew Stanley) of Everly, Iowa; her sister Jane Waltz of Kansas City, Missouri; and her siblings-in-law, Ruth (Alan Stevens) of Oakland, Iowa, Janet (David Brower) of Omaha, Nebraska, Roger (Sharon Sorensen) of Corning, Iowa and Bob Irwin of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
