She was predeceased by: her sons, James Gabriel Mehring and Stephen Patrick Mehring; her grandchildren, Micah Mehring and Joshua Mehring; her sister Rosina Bartosh; her parents, James Handshaw and Lydia Handshaw; and her brothers, Walter and James Handshaw.
She is survived by: her husband Leon Gabriel Mehring; her daughter-in-law Wilma Rodgers (Dan); her caregiver Susan Corpman; and also, David Mehring (Pam), Stephen Mehring (Melissa), Leon P. Mehring (Vicki) and Denise Vander Sanden (Jerry). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
