She was predeceased by: her parents, Simeon Edward and Nancy Jeanette Richardson (Beck); her sons, Anthony and Tommy; her husband Leo Melford Thorpe; and her siblings, Harland "Smokey" Richardson, Irving Richardson, Sylvia Richardson, Dorothy Davis, Margaret Robbins, Scott Richardson, Edith Myers and Lester "Max" Richardson.
She is survived by: her children, Mickey Thorpe of Lake Villa, Juanita Thorpe of Des Moines, Jody Thorpe (Donna Hunziker) of Clarinda and Tim Thorpe of Leon, Iowa; her grandchildren, Julie, Michael, Phillip and Savannah; her great grandchild Carter; and her sister Ruth Smith of Ames, Iowa. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
