He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Brokaw and Mae Brokaw; his wife Elizabeth Hoskinson; and his children, Jon Brokaw, Joel (Karma Brokaw), Jayne (Terry Barnett), Jill (Mike Evans), Jodi (Bill Lyddon), Jina (Paul Nelson) and Jed (Kay Brokaw). He was also cherished by seven children, twenty-five grandchildren and fifty great-grandchildren.
