He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Davis and Gladys Davis (Gold); and his siblings, Lavon Vest, Roquel Davis and Butch Davis.
He is survived by: his daughter Robin Flannigan (Jimmy) of Lenox, Iowa; his sisters, Marton McMahill of Ankeny, Iowa and Patty Shafar of Bedford, Iowa; and his former wife Kay Davis of Princeton, Missouri. He is also survived by three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
