He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Nook and Wilma Nook (Bell); his wife Shirley Jean; and his brother Clifford. He is survived by: his children, Teresa of Villisca, Bill (Maggie Eighmy) of New Market and Frank (Julie) of Prior Lake, Minnesota; his grandchild Kyle Nook (Megan) of Bellevue, Nebraska; his child Christian Nook (Loren) of New Market; his siblings, Glen (Shirley) of Newton, Jerold (Sandy) of Edgewood, Maryland and Arlene Steddom of Clarinda; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Nook of Wheaton, Minnesota and Janice Shelton (Eugene) of Belton, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Even though Parkinson's robbed him of his humor, he was still able to communicate elaborate, quite detailed anecdotes the last several years of his life.
