It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Rae Smithson (Lenox, Iowa), who passed away on December 5, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl H. Cordell and Nettie Cordell of Bedford; her siblings, LaVerne (Butch), Peggy, Larry Lee and John Franklin; her former husband William Smithson; and her son William.

Donna spent 24 years as President of the Lenox American Legion Auxiliary Parkinson Unit #250.
