With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle L. Durby (Leland, Iowa), who passed away on August 25, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Palmer Durby and Nettie Durby (Rognehaugh); his siblings, Dorothy, John and Marlo; his children, Maureen Sleper (John) of Clarion, Linda Sharp (Michael) of Mitchellville, Terry (Lisa) of Leland, Darla Zrostlik of Long Grove and Shari Berends (Chris) of Roland; his grandchildren, Jennifer Etheredge (Jacob), Christopher Zrostlik, Mallory Christopher, Jonathan Zrostlik, Joran Colby (Jordan), Sydney Holmes (Josh), Ty Durby and Grant Berends; his great grandchildren, John, Lena, Lily, Anna Etheredge, August, Ella Christopher and Leo Colby; his sister Ruby Farland; his wife Blanche; and his daughter Nancy Pauline. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
