She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Abraham and Margit; her parents, Wallace Torkelson and Ida Torkelson (Oppedahl); her husband Leonard Nelson; her in-laws, Peter and Johanna Nelson; her daughter-in-law Julia Nelson; her great grandchild Emma Kate Brekken; and her siblings, Larry Torkelson, Leroy Torkelson, Don Torkelson and Darlene Tweeten.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Nelson (Kathy) of Lake Mills, Gary Nelson (Kim) of Lake Mills and Lori Brekken (David) of Siren, WI; her grandchildren, Tony Nelson (Stacy), Derek Nelson (Amanda), Molly Andrusyk (Luke), Lisa Kubik (Alex), Taylor Nelson (Sarah), Jason Brekken (Abbie), Grant Brekken (Shannon), Peter Brekken (Brittany) and Jacob Brekken (McKenzie); her great grandchildren, Brynn, Brooklyn, Becca Nelson, Tyler Lynde, Jaylyn, Cy Brewer, Tate, Nora, Hallie Nelson, Landon, Lake Andrusyk, Kennedy, Kaycen Kubik, Liv, Hallie Brekken, Madison Brekken, Ruby, Brooks Brekken, Gavin, Silas Brekken and Baby Boy Nelson; and her siblings, Beverly Erickson (Norman) of Seeley Lake, MT and Richard Torkelson of Forest City, IA. She is also survived by many nephews, a niece and friends.
