She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Veldhuizen and Ada Veldhuizen (Van Zee); her stepmother Betty Veldhuizen; her parents-in-law, John and Dena De Prenger; her siblings, Edward, Arnold, Henry, Wayne Veldhuizen and Ruth Roudybush; her stepsister Dorothy Grubb (John Grubb); her siblings-in-law, Burl Roudybush, Warren De Prenger, Herman Wyngarden, Wilma Veldhuizen (Edward), Kathryn Veldhuizen (Edward), Louise Veldhuizen (Arnold), Blanche Wyngarden (De Prenger) and Carolyn Veldhuizen (Elmer); and her great grandchild Brandon Corrigan (Sonja).
She is survived by: her husband Mark De Prenger; her children, Daryl J De Prenger of Arlington, Virginia and Cindy; her son-in-law Kenneth Vander Wal of Oak Brook, Illinois; her great grandchildren, Sonja Corrigan (Vander Wal), Steven Vander Wal (Kristi), David Vander Wal (Kerry) and Daniel Vander Wal (Renee); her brother Elmer Veldhuizen; her sisters-in-law, Martha Veldhuizen (Henry), Leona Veldhuizen (Wayne) of Oskaloosa and Wanda (Warren De Prenger); and also, Dylan, Benjamin, Abigail, Jacob, Kinsley, Landon, Taylor, Joshua, Jackson, Olivia, Kevin Vander Wal (Raquel) and Burton.
Masks are required and social distancing must be practiced.
In 2009 Esther was diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia.
