With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence E. Ternes (Ledyard, Iowa), who passed away on July 4, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Andrew and Mildred Christine Ternes (Kollasch); his wife Therese; his siblings, Charles (Clare), Harry (Marion Rose), Wayne, Marion (LaVern Sifrit) and Linda (Tom O'Brien); his brother-in-law Harold J. Brennan; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth Brennan (Shanahan); his daughter-in-law Laurie Ternes; and his nephew Mike Brennan.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanne Ternes (Les Lotton) of Eagle Lake, MN, Lois Harrison (Mike) of Ledyard, John Ternes of Ledyard and Lawrence J. Ternes (Karen) of Mankato, MN.; his grandchildren, Katherine Christensen (Colten), Michael Harrison, Elizabeth Harrison (Missy), Drake, Tyler Ternes, Kylie Ternes, Josie Riechel (Bailey) and Jack Ternes; his stepgrandchildren, Sara Westphal, Samatha Kirkegaard, Jheri Gilbert, Toni Harrison, Tristan Brown and Amber Kiel; his brother LeRoy Ternes; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Brennan and Melanie Ternes. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
