He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Smith and Norma Smith (Heetland); his siblings, Darwin Smith and Marsha Lloyd; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Voeltz and Roland Willett.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carol Meyer (Alan) of Lytton, Janet Voeltz (Wayne) of Rochester, MN, Shirley Willett of Lakeville, MN and Rodney Smith (Jodi) of Lakota; and his sister-in-law Sandy Smith of Lakota. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Village Northwest in Sheldon in Dan's name.
