It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol I. Thompson (Ledyard, Iowa), born in Buffalo Center, Iowa, who passed away on March 8, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nordahl Skogen and Inez Skogen (Varland); her husband Howard M. Thompson; her son David Thompson; and her siblings, Don Skogen, Norman Skogen, Derald Skogen and Madele Skogen.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Blocker (Joseph) of Hartford, SD and Kevin Thompson (Diana) of Fort Dodge; her daughter-in-law Ginger Thompson of Forest City; her granddaughters, Jennifer Blackmore (Shannon) of Holstein, Amanda Nobles (Matthew) of Holstein, Kara Ruge (Nathan) of Mason City, Holly McMahon (Cody) of Hartford, SD, Kathleen Thompson of Madison, WI and Krista Thompson (Sam Renschen) of Honolulu, HI; her stepgranddaughters, Kelsae Schossow (David) of Forest City, IA and Jessie Sage of Iowa Falls; her great grandchildren, Tyler Wingert, Hanna, Beau, Sydney Blackmore, Aubrey, Dane Nobles, Mila, Lanie Ruge, Abigail and Nolan McMahon; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Zackary Jutting and Damon Sage; her brother Merle Skogen (Joni) of Albert Lea, MN; and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Skogen of Rake and Virjean Skogen of Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
