He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Reuter and Anna Reuter (Nemmers); his wife Arlene; and his siblings, Ralph, Roger, Melvin, Anthony, Joseph and Madeline Neubrand.

He is survived by: his children, Randy Reuter (Darlene) of Sioux Falls, SD, Linda Kellen (Al) of Cherokee, IA, Shari Fey (Rocky) of Le Mars, IA, Mary Ellensohn (Gary) of Le Mars, IA and Barry Reuter (Gail) of Raleigh, NC; and his sister-in-law Mary Jean Swartout of Le Mars, IA.. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
