She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer LeRoy and Frieda Otilda Downing (Tanner); her husband John E. Brangwin; and her sisters, Betty Ahrendt and Joyce Nervig.

She is survived by: her children, Larry (Lisa Brangwin), David (Tonia Brangwin) and Janet (Mark Skidmore); her grandchildren, Sara Jones (Anthony), Jason Brangwin, Shaun Brangwin (Heather), Peter Brangwin (Nicole), Kristine Turner (Charles), Kevin Clayton (Haley) and Kara Clayton; and her sisters, Evelyn Kallsen of Le Mars, IA and Dorothy Trobaugh of Le Mars, IA..
