It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna Louise Van Oort (Le Mars, Iowa), who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob; and her pet Buddy. She is survived by: her children, Kyle Van Oort of Tucson, AZ and Kari Van Oort of Shawnee, KS; and her sisters, Norma Marie Schmidt of Sioux Falls, SD and Edna Arlene Mross of Minden, NV. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen, Iowa.
