It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jelken (Le Mars, Iowa), who passed away on June 16, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Mandelkow and Anna Mandelkow (Reelfs); her husband Henry Jelken Jr.; her siblings, Harold Madelkow (Margaret) and Helen Vogel (Bill); and her daughter-in-law Jeanie Jelken.
She is survived by: her children, Randall Jelken of Le Mars, IA, Gloria Miller of Ankeny, IA and Bryon Jelken (Faye) of Le Mars, IA; her grandchildren, Jodi Jacobsen (Tony), Jeff Jelken (Alisha), Tony Miller (Molly), Danny Miller (Jessi), Bill Miller (Karen), Travis Jelken (Kim), Tyler Jelken (Mellissa) and Tiffany Junker (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Katelyn Aalbers (Max), Alex Jacobsen, Aubrey Jelken, Autumn Jelken, Lauren Miller, AJ Miller, Thomas Miller, Marissa Miller, Maci Miller, Mila Miller, Kinley Miller, Noah Jelken, Isabella Jelken, Gabriel Jelken, Mason Jelken, Carter Jelken, Claire Jelken, Tayler Junker, Taryn Junker, Teagen Junker and Tyson Junker; her aunt Barb Reelfs; and her parents-in-law, Dick Jelken and Leona Pierce. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
