She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Brennan; her son Michael Brennan; her son-in-law Michael Swenson; her parents, Leo Wiedman and Sophia Wiedman; her sisters, Marie Irish (Raymond Reynolds), Dorothy Stoney (Art), Florence Redman (Harold), Bernice Leeser (Joe) and Muriel Wiedman; her parents-in-law, Joe and Elizabeth Brennan; and her sister-in-law Therese Ternes (Lawrence).
She is survived by: her children, Ann Pick (Rich), Margaret Brennan, Mary Embury (Rick), Kathleen Johnson (Tom), Patricia Hill (Doug), Joan Swenson (Smith), Colleen Brazil (Lewis), Leo Brennan (Tiffany) and David Brennan (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Sarah Pecks (Chad), Josh Pick (Amy), Natalie Tabor (David), Gail Whitney (Mike), Rebecca Shaull (Dwight), Kelli Edge (Jayson), Lindsey Nelson (Alex), Jacob Hill (Courtney), Jessica Hill, John Swenson, Annika Swenson, Matt Brazil (Victoria), Alyssa Brazil, Hannah Brennan, Michael Brennan (Rachael), Evan Brennan, Connor Brennan, Emma Brennan, Megan Brennan and Sophia Brennan; and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Mia, Claire Pecks, Liam, Lillian Pick, Josie, Julia Edge, Wesley Hill, Allison Shaull and Brooks Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Ruth's name to Park Place Estates Assisted Living in Le Mars and St. Croix Hospice.
