It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Baack (Le Mars, Iowa), who passed away on November 13, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Baack and Anna Baack (Pedersen); his parents-in-law, Clarence and Irene Brunken; and his sister-in-law Joyce Baack.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Brunken; his children, Carolyn Strub (Joe) of Le Mars, Brad Baack (Kim) and Laura Donohue (Sean) of Le Mars; his grandchildren, Kailey Marin (Domingo), Kelly Prince, Chris Strub (Victoria), Paxton Strub, CJ Strub, Zach Baack, Ryan Baack, Erin Franco (Brandon) and Nick Donohue (Caitie); his great grandchildren, Ivy Donohue, Emery Donohue, Mason Franco, Kashton Strub and Gavin Marin; his brothers, Ed Baack (JoEllen) of Portland, Gary Baack (Sharon) of Phoenix and Roland Baack of Detroit, Michigan; and his sister-in-law Donna Kniffen (Don). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Masks and social distancing are required.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: St John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars, Hospice of Siouxland, or June E. Nylen Cancer Center.
