She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Lockard and Lola Lockard (Jones); and her husband Sidney Eugene Eckerman. She is survived by: her children, Rachelle Gerkin (Scott) of Sioux City, Sid Eckerman (Chris) of Bellevue, Neb, Todd Eckerman of Aurora and Rhonda Eckerman of Le Mars; and her grandchildren, Jaclyn Brees (Aaron), Joseph Eckerman (Mindy), Shane Gerkin, Steffanie Gerkin and Jessica Eckerman. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren; and other extended relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Arbor Day Foundation.
