He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Ruchti and Meta Ruchti (Hauschildt); his wife Judy Ruchti; and his siblings, Cheryl Kay Ruchti, Leon Ruchti, Dennis Ruchti and Mark Ruchti.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Ruchti of Orlando, FL; his granddaughter Tiranee Vriezen (David) of Ames, IA; his siblings, Donna Myers of Whiting, IA, Deanna Lawson of Mapleton, IA, Duwaine Ruchti of Dunlap, IA, Bruce Ruchti of Mapleton, IA and Jeffery Ruchti (Candi) of Swisshome, OR; and his sister-in-law Debra Ruchti of Onawa, IA. He is also survived by several other in laws, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ (858 7th Ave SE, Le Mars, IA 51031). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Memorial Cemetery (1100 3rd St SE, Le Mars, IA 51031). A reception was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ (858 7th Ave SE, Le Mars, IA 51031).
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, in care of the family.
