He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Petersen and Magdalena Petersen (Kammeier); his parents-in-law, J. N. and Edna Lamoureux; his daughter Joni Japp; his brother Robert Petersen (Virginia); his brother-in-law Paul Newendorp; and his great grandchild Dexter Mays.
He is survived by: his wife Luene of Le Mars; his children, Jeff Petersen (Kay) of Merrill, IA and Janet Petersen of Sioux City, IA; his son-in-law Lonny Japp (Cindy) of Bennington, NE; his grandchildren, Shayla Petersen of Minneapolis, MN and Makenzie Lang (Micah) of Le Mars, IA; his great grandchildren, Ella, Hudson and Cruz; his grandchild Ashley Mays (Andrew) of Urbandale, IA; his great grandchild Teddy; his grandchildren, Samantha Japp of Cedar Falls, IA and Griffin Japp (CJ) of Arlington, NE; and his siblings, Dick Petersen (Soonie) of Colorado Springs, CO, Donna Newendorp of Longmont, CO and Susan Klemme (Gerald) of Le Mars, IA. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials can be made in Larry's name to the Le Mars Community School Foundation, Floyd Valley Healthcare Foundation, or a favorite charity of your choice.
