He was predeceased by: his parents, Arie Grouw and Ada Van Grouw (Vande Vegte); his brother Eugene; his grandson Kent Van Grouw; and his siblings-in-law, James Vander Schaaf, Wayne Vander Schaaf, Bud Vander Broek, Ed Zommermand, Wilma Schelling and Elda Vander Schaaf.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Vander Schaaf; his children, Arlan Van Grouw (Gail) of Orange City, IA, David Van Grouw of Alton, IA, Kevin Van Grouw (Lisa Cochran) of Johnstown, CO, Connie (Mike Anderson) of Sequim, WA, Laura (Scott Van Wyk) of Le Mars, IA and Stephen Van Grouw of Orange City, IA; his nieces and nephews, Milton Vander Schaaf (Joan) of Hardwick, MN, Herlon Vander Schaaf (Joan) of Sioux Center, IA, Henrietta Vander Broek of Orange City, IA, June Driesen (Harold) of Hull, IA, Delbert Vander Schaaf of Orange City, IA, Roger Vander Schaaf (Charlotte) of Lake Wilson, MN, Helen Statema (Don) of Hospers, IA, Arlys Zomermaand of Sioux Center, IA, Gilbert Schelling of Hull, IA, Betty Vander Schaaf of Sioux Center, IA and Sharon Vander Schaaf of Sioux Center, IA; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Van Grouw of Orange City, IA.. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law.
