He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hoss and Clara Hoss (Lewis); his wife Waunita Hoss; his son Mark Hoss; his son-in-law Mike Durrett; his siblings, Richard Hoss, Donald "Bud" Hoss, Leonard Hoss, Donna Wells, Helen Bruning, Joanne Frick and Patricia Cornelsen; his siblings-in-law, Virginia Guerdet, Elaine Herker, Ralph Kessler, Daryl Wells, Harold Bruning, Dwight Guerdet, Dennis Guerdet and Douglas Guerdet; and his parents-in-law, Leo and Florence Guerdet.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Sauer (Tom) of Le Mars, IA, Laurie Baack (George) of Toledo, IA, Cathryn De Boer (Brad) of Le Mars, IA, Mary, Durrett of Le Mars, IA and James Hoss (Jessica) of Kearney, NE; his grandchildren, Nicholas Sauer (Tara), Michael Sauer (Ali), Kelby Wulfekuhle (Brett), Madison Wilkerson (Eric), Shania Currier (Alex), Joseph De Boer, David Stafford, Lydia, Nathan, Christopher and Bennett Hoss; his great grandchildren, Emerson, Avery Wulfekuhle, Kenlee, Rylah Wilkerson, Maeve Sauer and Tatum Currier; his siblings, Darrell Hoss (Karen) and Carol Kessler (Sam Risolvato); and his siblings-in-law, Loretta Hoss, Mike Frick and Bob Cornelsen.
