He is survived by: his child Eagle Scouts; his wife Joan of Le Mars, IA; his children, Chris (Ana Schnepf), Leo, Maria (Sofi), George (Nancy Schnepf), Carly, Alec, Josh (Matt), Joe (Maggie Schnepf), Georgia (Jack), Julie (Joe Hlas), Liz and Michael (William); and his sisters-in-law, Dixie Engel of Le Mars, IA and Maxine Schnepf of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
