He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Nobel and Hilda Nobel (Moorlag); his parents-in-law, Lewis and Lucille Wierda; and his sisters, Joanne Altena (late Wayne) and Henrietta Schiebout (late Chris).
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Roxanne Nobel of Grand Rapids, MI, Kevin Nobel (Deborah) of Le Mars, IA and Paulette Nobel of Wellington, FL; his grandchildren, Jonathan Nobel, Jamie Huber (Jake) and Jeffery Nobel (Maryrose); his siblings, Bernard Nobel (Adeline) of Milaca, MN, Harriet Van Voorst (Garret) of Inwood, IA and Hertilda Davelaar (Bill) of Sioux Center, IA; his parents-in-law, Martin Wierda (Shirley) of Sioux Center, IA, Louis Wierda (Gloria) of Maurice, IA, Thelma Brunk (late Robert) of San Jacinto, CA and Clifton Wierda (Jonna); and his great grandchildren, Briar, Ada, Makenna, Cora, Holland and Hudson.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a public visitation, with no family present, and limited to 15 people at a time practicing social distancing and wearing a mask will be on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 4:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.
